About the book:-

Political Sociology analyses society-politics trends. The proposed study is focused on the Scheduled tribe communities, for it constitutes a sizeable minority in eastern U.P. and subsequently affects the electoral politics of U.P. Political socialization has become a key concept in comparative political analysis, especially in studies of developing countries. It refers to the process wherein individual members of a state acquire their feelings and behavioral attitudes about government and politics generally, their sense of national identification, loyalty to the government, allegiance to the leadership, and their understanding of the role(s) they expect (or are expected) to play as participants in the political system. Political scientists are prone to argue among themselves about most key concepts in the discipline. Certainly they have reached no consensus as to which agencies are most effective in promoting or achieving political socialization-the family, peer groups, fellow workers, political parties, the media, the schools. All of these operate in different mixes with varying results, from country to country and within each country.
