The Book assumes significance in the light of current state of internal security environment in India both in terms of complex nature of threat and corresponding response mechanism. The debates on India’s internal security often highlighted serious gaps both at policy level and capacity of institutions to handle a crisis situation like 26/11 attacks and evolve a policy framework to deter such threats through an effective response mechanism which includes preventive measures, proper investigation and managing terror threat emanating from Pakistan.
