Total negation of foreign investments in the economy of post independent India may be an instinctive disposition but not a viable option. After long years of inward looking, cautious and controlled regime of economic planning in India, since 1990s, India has earmarked on its journey to economic reform marked by liberalization, privatization and globalization. Despite non-forgettable memories of colonial era degradations at the hands of foreign rule set by corporate colonizer East India Company, India has opened its territories for foreign investmentson the premise that it would aid in the economic development of the country.
